Dr. Nayyer obtained his MBBS from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar University, Pakistan in 1990 and his Master of Surgery in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2002 from University Malaya. He also holds an A.O., Trauma Fellowship from the Orthopaedic and Trauma Centre, Celle, Germany; Fellowship in Arthroscopic Surgery from the Department of Surgery, University Hospital, Kuala Lumpur; Fellowship in Spine Surgery from the Department of Traumatology, Duchess of Kent Children Hospital, Sandy Bay University of Hong Kong; the AOA 2007 ASEAN Travelling Fellowship from the American Orthopaedic Association; and the APOA Spine Training Fellowship from the Nishitaga Spine Centre, Sendai, Japan. He is also an ATLS Certified member and instructor.
Dr. Nayyer was the consultant orthopaedic surgeon for Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar, Seremban and the Mawar Medical Centre from 2004 to 2018. He is actively involved as a volunteer with Medecins Sans Frontieres, Hong Kong and Mercy Malaysia. Regarding his clinical training and expertise, besides trauma and fracture fixation he love to do total knees , total hips , uni knees , spine deformities like scoliosis in young , degenerated spine problems in adults and issues pertaining to Disc in young to middle age group. Last but not the least he looks after sports knee ligament injuries by repairing and reconstruction using minimally invasive techniques through scope offering speedy recovery , he likes to offer mini access surgeries to shoulder problems in middle age and elderly patients .
Dr Naveed has been active faculty member of one of our Malaysian renown medical university since 2004. He has been teaching and conducted research in different areas of orthopaedics of which regenerative medicine, stem cell therapy has been published . He completed this role in 2015 as Associate Professor before leaving for practice as full time .
